Meet Our Founder and Contributors

A note from our Founder, Lynn Frair:

We're here to promote transparency for health care options and are glad you're here!

A career in nursing made it extremely evident how time is such a precious asset, so I accelerated my family to financial independence in my late 30s. Through diligent saving and prudent investing, I now have time freedom and traditional work is optional and I am able to live life with time flexibility, and I am able to spend my time supporting causes that are important to me.

One of the biggest barriers for our family of four was figuring out health care options if we were to plan for work to be optional to pursue volunteer opportunities. Over three years, I created a database of all the options I could find, taking notes on each one. The volume of interest from entrepreneurs and early retirees wanting access to this information prompted the beginning of fihealthcare.

Cheers to our future,
Lynn

Lynn Frair, Founder

Lynn is a nurse, healthcare advocate, personal finance enthusiast, and the founder of FI Healthcare, who started investing her baby-sitting money at age 12. After a brain tumor in her 20s wiped out her savings, she re-built her investments to where passive income overtook her nursing wages and she was able to make work optional at age 39. This has allow the giving of time and flexibility she and her family have desired. Lynn has hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos (a connective tissue disease) and her life design has allowed the flexibility to manage her condition while also educating others on personal finance and healthcare advocacy. See is devoted to moving forward research on Ehlers-Danlos and related comorbidities into clinical practice and partners with people, non-profits and businesses that she believe will make a world changing contribution to this.

She is regularly interviewed as a financial nurse and healthcare expert has been fortunate to be part of repeat stories on several media outlets about health, life and finance including the WSJ, MarketWatch (Dow Jones), BiggerPockets, Financially Intentional Podcasts, and Earn & Invest podcasts.

She resides in the greater Seattle area with her husband, Carl, and their two young daughters where they enjoy the green beauty of the Pacific Northwest, take regular trips to the ocean, and refuse to set alarm clocks.
